Oliver's Big Boy Room Part One

I'm so excited to share with you all a fun collaboration I had with Minted!  A week ago, I posted some wall art ideas for both boys & girls & it was basically some of my inspiration for Oliver's room.  The package came a little over a week ago & I was waiting on a few things for Ollie's room before I put them up.  Inside the Minted box were all the art prints & also each one came with a certificate of authenticity!  In this certificate, it shows who the artist is & also what the title of the piece is & what size you received.  I felt like this was a great way to connect the buyer to the artist.

The purpose for wanting an art wall in Ollie's room, was to make his room more personable.  Each print I picked out has a specific purpose or it has sentimental meaning to it.  I also wanted to pick out prints that would be classic & last, but I also wanted them to really go well with Oliver's ocean & whale themed room.  Down below are the art pieces I picked out & I couldn't be happier with my choices!

Above Oliver's bed, I thought it would be perfect to put the Drift 16x16 wall framed art print!  The artist is Naomi Ernest & she did a marvelous job.  So, since Ollie has the cutest whale decals from Urban Walls, I felt like the black & white print was a good choice to break up the blue colors.  We also got the natural raw wood frame to go with this piece & love it!  For some reason, this print drew me in & I love the movements of the waves, very peaceful to me.  On the plus side, my husband said that if Ollie doesn't want this print anymore, he would gladly take it!

The next piece I picked out was called Martha's Horizon by artist, Whitney Deal.  We got the 5x7 size & it fits really well in my cedar wood triangle wall hanging!  It really is such a serene photograph & the colors pop in my neutral art gallery wall.

This next art piece has great sentimental meaning to me.  This one is called You are my Rising Sunshine by artist Dean Street & we got an 8x8 print.  Almost every night, Oliver & I sing "You are my sunshine" & it is the sweetest thing to hear him sing.  When I saw this piece, I knew I had to have it.  It is beautifully designed & written & will be a keepsake forever.

Last, but definitely not least, I picked out the art print, Three Stacked Whales by artist Brittany Zeller Holland in size 8x10.  As soon as I took this print out, Ollie exclaimed that it was his favorite & he named the whales immediately: humpback whale, sperm whale & an orca (or killer whale, but he doesn't like that word).  I felt like this was the piece that tied everything together!

Each time I walk into Oliver's room, I have this feeling of calmness & that is what I was hoping to achieve.  Everything about these prints were beautiful & had such a beautiful meaning.  I hope you liked what I chose as much as I did & down below are some links on where to follow Minted & all their design goodness!  Happy Tuesday friends!
